Volunteer will assist SAVAC staff with accepting, processing, sorting, and stocking donations for our thrift store located in Dade county. 

Young Fun

Special events volunteer

Volunteer will assist SAVAC staff and other volunteers with tasks such as:

  • event/equipment set up

  • greeting

  • registration

  • directing/coordinating

  • food service

  • giveaways

  • clean up

Great opportunity for students and youth/church groups!

Modern Office

administrative assistant volunteer

Volunteer will assist with tasks such as:

  • answering the phone

  • data entry

  • filing

  • cleaning and other duties as needed

Digital social media

social media volunteer

Volunteer will assist SAVAC leadership with:

  • promoting awareness

  • providing resource information

  • creating a culture of empowerment to the communities we serve via social media 

This opportunity is ideal for interns or anyone who has experience with a variety of social media platforms, graphic artistry, and conducting research.

Young Teacher

community outreach volunteer

Volunteer will assist SAVAC advocates with educational presentations for various age groups which may include: community groups, classrooms, churches, or workplaces located within Walker, Dade, or Catoosa counties.

This opportunity is ideal for college students and interns.

All volunteers must:

  • Complete a volunteer application with necessary references. 

  • Be willing to submit to a background check.

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Must complete required trainings as applicable

  • Must attend orientation and monthly meetings

A background check will be run for any applicant who is volunteering or interning at the Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Center. The Executive Director will administer background and references check. 

All training will be completed online using the Victim's Assistance Online Training Program. All training is free. Volunteer must register for access to a personal account to track their training. Hours are subject to specific position and availability.
